Lee Traded, & Bennie Too. Really? This Stinks.

I cant believe this. Cliff Lee & Ben Francisco were traded to the Phillies. Lee is expected to make his next start Friday, for Philadelphia. The Tribe will receive pitchers Carlos Carrasco, Jason Knapp, catcher Lou Marson and infielder Jason Donald. Knapp, who is the key to all this, is still on the DL. That’s right, the DL. Wow. Cliff Lee was a star, & we went & traded him. Bennie was a great hitter, & was really heating up. & We traded him? This is insanity, in my opinion. I can only hope that all these prospects come to us soon, & at least two of them make a good impact on the Tribe. I love the Tribe..but I just am not sure what to think about this. I honestly expected Cliff to be traded. I didn’t, however, expect Bennie to be traded also. It’s just been tough recently, & these trades hurt. Who knows, maybe all the players involved in this deal will greatly help the Tribe. It was good having Bennie & Lee with the Tribe. I will miss them, just like I miss Garko. I guess it’s baseball, though. Good luck to Lee & Bennie. This isn’t official yet, but if all player’s pass their physical, it will be official within the next 10-24 hours. The link below is where I found the news. I voted in the poll question, & the majority agree with what I voted, that I do not like this deal. & Obviously, the writer of this article was just too shocked to even spell “prospects” right, because it says “porspects,” in the title. Well, it did say that. They changed it, though.

Hopefully they dont do anything else that’s stupid..It doesn’t matter though.

No matter what, I’m rooting for the Indians. But boy, do I need an Advil.

GO TRIBE.

I’m sending you a blog version of Advil! Really sorry about the news for your sake. But I have to assume that the prospects the Indians got in return will be great down the road and make the team stronger. The catcher, especially, is supposed to be really good. Doesn’t help now, I know, but hang in there!!!

This is devastating to Atlanta’s playoff hopes. Now Philly has 4 left-handed starters while Atlanta is a heavy left-handed hitting lineup. Not a big issue but it could cause problems in say a playoff series…

😦 I just saw the news about Lee! That’s got to hurt to see him leave (esp. in addition to everyone else that’s been traded)…and does it mean the Indians are going into ‘rebuilding mode’ (about the worst thing to hear, right? haha)? Hopefully you don’t have to see any more players traded away in the next 48+ hours… — And good luck salvaging the series win tonight!

Well what a fine example once again of what I have been saying all year………..the Dolans can’t afford to keep this team and I can only pray they get smart and sell it to someone who can! Please let us have an owner who has the pockets to put a winning team together and keep the allstars.

It is possible you guuys may lose someone else, not sure who or when, just heard on MLB Network that the owners are looking to cut down salary to somewhere in the $60mill range, whether they do it in the off season or trade someone else before Friday is anyones guess…
sorry your losing the players you like, we wnet through it all in Philly 4 or 5 years ago, its hard to get to know new players, until they show there character properly…

Cliff Lee and Ben Francisco are gone, but you still have great players like Grady Sizemore and Victor Martinez going around. I heard that Ryan Garko was traded away too. It is not fun knowing that your team is acting like sellers this season, knowing that they are almost out of the division race. Oh well.
