A Question That Needs An Awnser.

Someone asked me, “Why do you root for the Indians, even when they lose and break your heart so often?” Well, many people are probably wanting the awnser to that, and some already know it. I know a lot of fans can relate to this, so I decided to awnser the question here. When you love a team, you stick with them no matter what happens. When you love a team that is losing a lot, that just makes those wins much better when you do win games. The joy and pride that comes out of whatever your team does, in the end, makes everything worth the trouble and heartbreak.

I think the awnser is, ” No matter what, everything will work it self out in the end, and things will go our way again, and we will continue to root for out favorite team even if they go back to having bad luck, or losing many ballgames. ”

Nice, that’s a real fan. I’m down here in LA and these Laker fans are the WORST… no idea how good they’ve got it. After a win, they’re all over the place, flying flags and talking trash. After a loss, they are nowhere to be found. They pretend they weren’t that into it anyway… It’s dispicable.

Yea, I can understand that, gianthomer!
Lakers fans can be stuck up and Non-understanding of
how lucky they are to have such a good team. ALL they
    care about is winning.

Prior to the past two years, Phillies fans have had to endure some pretty awful teams. I’m sure the team doesn’t mind all the bandwagon fans, it sure helps to sell tickets this year! But for the rest of us it’s kind of a pain, because it’s that much harder to get tickets for a game now! But of course I’ll be rooting them on from home.

Yes, we root for our teams for better or worse. There are moments when I wish I didn’t love the Yankees so much (like after they got swept by the Sox last night), but my love is forever in good times and bad.

Great entry!! That portrays like everything I believe in as a fan. I’m a Padres fan, and things haven’t been that great lately. We’re hanging in there right now, but it can be soo hard!! NEVER GIVE UP!! That’s every die-hard fan’s motto.

Great entry! As a Nationals fan, I know about suffering — believe me. But the Nationals are my home team, for better or for worse. I don’t root for them only when it’s convenient. They are a young team, and I truly believe they will be a good team some day. (I just hope I live long enough to see that.) I hear/read comments from Nats fans who say they refuse to go to Nats games until the team starts winning regularly, or until the manager is fired, or until Stephen Strasburg is signed and has been called up to play….etc. I understand the frustration, but I’m not a “sometimes” fan. I’m in this for the long haul, and die hards such as myself NEVER, EVER, GIVE UP.

I completely agree…win or lose I’m standing by the Tribe. A true fan sticks with their team!!!I have a friend who is such a wish-washy sports fan…she has no idea what it’s like to have a losing season..sometimes I wish her “favorite team” would have a losing season so I could see how she would react. She’d be jumping off that bandwagon..that’s for sure. The losing seasons stink but you are right that when we are losing that just makes the wins even more sweet!!As a Cleveland fan I’m used to the losing but it’s not scaring me away…I’ve been a fan of Cleveland my whole life..why would I give up now??I am definitely in it for the long haul…never giving up on the Tribe!!!:)
